Safety in my neighborhood

Nowadays I've got really scared of walking alone in my neighborhood cause I've been listening to a lot of terrible things that're happening around it. I used to go walking from my house to almost every places that I go, like the gym, school, my friends house, restaurants, and etc. And even in the weekends sometimes I used to meet up my friends in bars on the streets ang things like that. But now almost every week I hear about people being mugged, being stalked by homelass men and even being shot. That is really shocking to me because my neighborhood use to be really safe and calm and I used to fell confortable and secure there. Maybe me and my family should gether all the neighbors to require for more safety and surveillance around us. 

First days in Chicago

I arrived at Chicago 4 days ago. I'm staying here with my family (my mom, my dad and my brother) for about 3 or 4 weeks. Me and my parents decided to study english and my brother is searching for a place were he can play sports with people of his age cause, even though he's 15, he already has a really good english.
It's my first time here in Chicago and I'm really enjoying the city. So far I went to Millennium Park to see the Cloud Gate and The Pritzker Pavillion. Also I went shopping and went to very good restaurants that served italian, american and thai food.
